North America and Britain.
After an aeronautical
engineering apprenticeship and gaining a First Class Masters Degree
at the Cranfield Institute of Technology, Bill was appointed to
a variety of line Manufacturing roles at The British Aircraft Corporation
and as Manager of Manufacturing Applications he was responsible
for the implementation of new manufacturing technology on the Concorde

He was Manufacturing

Since the late
1970's he played a significant role in leading each of these Companies
through the implementation of Continuous Improvement strategies,
embracing technology and working practices, thus making him one
of the most experienced hands-on Change Management implementers
in this country.
Bill Harris'
board-level effectiveness in ensuring the success of these strategies
resulted in the culture, productivity and service level improvements
that led to the privatisation of Leyland Trucks and Leyland Parts.
He also led the first implementation of a Continuous Improvement
strategy in a major British Aerospace manufacturer - making significant
strides in customer satisfaction, productivity and working practices
at Westland Aerospace.
In 1992 Bill
established the independent consultancy Harris Associates (now a
member of the Integrated Business Solutions group), with the objective
of making his hard-earned experience available to other organizations.
He brings the confidence of a "grey-haired - been there before"
approach, sharing his unique knowledge and experience of having
himself introduced and implemented a total quality culture into
three large corporate and many medium-sized enterprises. Bill and
his associates provide rapid and powerful support to leaders of
organizations, large or small, who need experienced help in taking
the strategy from the board-room to an effective company-wide culture
of Continuous Improvement.
Over the recent
